Default Faction penalty for leavers in AB

I think that everyone who plays regular AB is familiar with the irritating concept of leavers. Often when you are only 20 or 30 points behind and 4-3 behind in platforms, the first people allready start to leave because they see it as a waste to remain in the game till the end.

The best solution to this is IMO to think along their own lines and making it an even more waste of time to leave before the end.:

Faction Penalty for the leavers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It also makes kinda sense, dont you also lose faction for your alliance if you show some support for the other alliance? So why cant it be so that you also lose faction when you leave your comrades in the middle of a battle. Its both treachery

I say that the penalty should be around 300 faction. Large enough to stop the pessimistic leavers from leaving and small enough for the people not to mind the penalty when they REALLY need to go for r/l stuff etc.

So, what do you say?

If it was up to me, I'd be all for it. Most should be familiar with my stance on leavers by now. Even something minute as -1/-5 faction every time you leave would cut down on it a lot, without much hurting those who have to go answer the door once in a while or suffer a legit discunnect.

But guild wars is strictly on a no-penalty policy. I can't think of a single thing (except the survivor title) that gives you a penalty or loss if you fail. Death Penalty doesn't really count since it's easily cleared and not a permanent thing. There is no mandatory money sink involved in pve. You can do lvl20 content with a level 1 char and no gear without suffering any loss.
